I've got a ECM-9400 codes (Brake Pedal Sensor: Faulty Signal)I'm trying to find the part # to have a brake pedal sensor replaced on my 99 V70XC? I can't find this by searching by the code name/description.. Anybody have a part number or description name different for this particular part?

It's doubtful if anyone but the Volvo dealer is going to have this part. They may want to know if you have the TRACS System on your vehicle when you get the part so make sure you have that info.
I did end up calling dealer...it's part#9441116 COWL- (components on dash panel sensor) $108/$90....
It's fairly easy to replace, just step on the brake pedal a few times with the engine off so the vacuum inside the booster is relieved first.
Is the COWL an item that is a twist and pull release to take out? Then replace with new,and reverse steps, push back in twist and locks back into place? Disconnecting and reconnecting of wires being an obvious already
I've never seen this "COWL" name, but regardless, this is a straight forward repair. There's a metal clip around the sensor, you'll need to get the old one off, I use a metal pick to dis-lodge the clip. Before installing the new sensor, install the new metal clip into the groove, then simply slide the new senor in until you hear/see the metal clip lock the sensor into place. Don't forget the new o-ring and make sure the old one is removed first.
