What is your question?
The check engine light comes on and off about every 5 to 7 days. During the week I only drive 14 mi a day. When I drive on weekend @ interstate speeds, check engine light will go off. When I run the code--it says--catalyst system, right bank, underperformance. What is this? and a estimate of repair would be helpful? car has 185000 miles on it. it gets regular maitenence.

WITH THIS MILEAGE I WOULD SUSPECT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER IS DONE. CALL AROUND TO LOCAL MUFFLER SHOPS FOR EST AND AVAILIBILTY. YOU MAY HAVE TO PURCHASE FROM THE DEALER. BIG $
I might would agree with you about the mileage, but this is a Volvo, it goes about 300,000 miles before you have problems with it. As i said it has had regular maitenence and required maitenence at times stipulated by Volvo. Also if the cataltic converter is done as you say the OBD-2 system would recognize this and the check engine light would stay on constantly. Repectfully I'll have to disagree with you on your answer, but thanks for trying.
DISAGREE ALL YOU WANT TO BUT WEATHER ITS A VOLVO OR NOT PARTS WERE OUT AND FACTS ARE FACTS. 185K MILES WILL WEAR OUT THE BEST PARTS IN THE WORLD. GOOD LUCK YOU APPARENTLY BELIEVE IN VOLVOS MORE THAN I DO. LOL
