computer still is showing incompletes after check engine lite has gone off

I know what you`re dealing with. These cars between 96-99 are a pain in the you know what to get the drive codes to set. Be pending on what state you live in the local DMV may have a list of cars(a huge number of them) that have these difficulties and have instructed emissions testing stations to proceed with the emissions test, providing the MIL is not on. These drive codes have nothing to do with the actual emission from the car They just check to see if all the emission control devices are operating correctly. I thought that was what the MIL is for!! What a pain in the XXX !!! Check with your DMV for information. Otherwise, you may as well plan for a vacation trip.
