What is your question?
On my 2013 S80, I was told there are 2 fuel pumps on the car... 1 that can be replaced and another - internal to feed from the 'reserve side' of the fuel tank to the primary side... Is this true? The dealer is saying the fuel tank must be replaced to fix the 'reserve side' fuel pump.
What makes this problem better or worse?
hesitate when low on fuel
How long has your 2013 Volvo S80 had this problem?
couple months

Hello, on this "dual sump" fuel tank system, one is the actual fuel delivery pump, and the other is a fuel transfer pump. The transfer pump is used to balance out the fuel level on both sumps of the fuel tank. It is true that if either pump is lacking, you'll not have proper operation. Hands on testing is needed to find out the true diagnosis, although it sounds like your repair facility is on the right track here.
