ok so my car died and i have bought it for 3000 and have put 2000 into it it has about 130000 miles and now the enigine has to be replaced should i just scrap it or is it worth it and it also has over 500 dollars worth of problems on top of that what should i do

The 1999-2001 S80 is a very problematic car. I would never suggest anyone buy one unless they are a Volvo mechanic. They are a great car to drive, but just too many problems. After 2001 they got much better. For your situation, it's hard to know without looking at the car and really understanding why the engine needs to be replaced. Sounds like you'll be into it for $5K at least right now and to fix it another ??. See how much you can sell it for and make the decision that best suits your financial situation. But by all means get rid of this unless you want to continue pouring money into it. Hope this helps and you get this resolved.
