What is your question?
The transmission has 200k miles. It has been running fine. Started slipping 5K miles ago. The transmission would then act like it is in Neutral no matter what gear you shift into. NO reverse or drive. Shut off wait a few minutes then it will work again. I changed fluid and filter. This helped for about 2500 miles. It is doing it again. Anyone have any possible reasons this is occurring? The transmission fluid looks fine. Nothing out of the ordinary when it was flushed the last time.

When an automatic transmission is going into Neutral intermittently it usually indicates a loss of fluid pressure from a failing pump, leaking internal seal, or problem with a fluid pressure regulator or governor. The problem is that an accurate diagnosis is very difficult to obtain without trained techs and equipment. A scan tool (not an OBDII Generic, an expensive factory compatible one like a Snap-On, Bosch or Autel) that can communicate with the transmission computer will be required, as well as potentially having to do a pressure test. Frequently a rebuild ends up being the solution, because even of the initial failure does not warrant a rebuild, the internals can be damaged from the fluid pressure losses. As a reference we charge 85$ to do a diagnosis, and of course, we will be happy to do one if you like.
