car was loosing power but kept running, very little power, stopped and turned it off then when I started it ran fine a few minutes then did the same thing. check engine lite was flashig while engine was running with little power, trans shifted fine just took a long time because car was only going 25-30 mph ????

A "Flashing" check-engine-light is a sign of a misfire. Misfires are either bad spark plugs or a bad coil. Your engine uses an individual coil mounted above each spark plug. on every cylinder. You need to have an OBD II scanner read the code in the computer to determine which cylinder is misfiring. Once you know which one is misfiring , I suggest you switch that coil with a cylinder that is good. If the misfire follows the coil , the coil is bad. replace coil If the misfire stays at that cylinder, the plug is bad. Change plugs Although it is possible that a bad electrical connection to one or more coils could be the culprit, the only way to know that would be to use a voltmeter and check the voltage at each coil.
