I have an oil leak in my car

Hello, The first step is identification. Once the leak is found, the shop can quote the repair. Most times, the leak is quickly found, and there is no real diagnostic cost. There are exceptions to that rule, of course. Oil leaks can be quick, cheap, and easy, or they may involve removing the engine or transmission. Not to scare you, but just be aware that until the leak is found, there is no way to quote the repair. Especially on oil cooled turbos, don't use any of that "stop leak" stuff that auto parts stores sell. They will cause damage to the turbocharger central housing rotating assembly.
