This engine does not have a valve cover, but a 2 piece cylinder head sealed together with an anaerobic sealer. To remove even the top part will requires special tools to lock the cams together. Do not do this job at home without the tools and a very good knowledge of this engine! You can cause a serious engine damage. Could you tell us why do you want to remove the "valve cover"?? Zee

I believe the car needs a head gasket.anti freeze is mixing Watson the oil and the intake is full of antifreeze

I strongly suggest to take it to an independent Volvo shop to get it repaired. I hope there is one near you. This is not a regular cylinder head setup and requires special tools, method and knowledge to work on. Zee
