there is coolant in my oil but no oil in the coolant

my car ran hot and they continued running it until the engine died. the radiator was cracked so i replaced it but it would not start. just cranking it would produce pressure in the cooling system. after i let the car sit for about 2 days i noticed there was no more coolant in the reservoir then i checked the oil and it appeared to be about a qt and a half over full. i then took off the oil drain plug and about a qt of coolant came out before a mixture of oil and coolant began coming out. what do you think the problem is?
