My car keeps saying my trunk is open but it's not. I've tried opening it and closing it but. It still says that it's open. Could the sensor be broken? Or would really cold temps have anything to do with it?

Its probably the switch gone bad. There will be a little contact type switch somewhere in the movement of trunk couple wires going to a little button type thing
