Repair man said that all valves were warped but could be fixed and no piston damage, after having it for a month now they said that the entire engine may need swapped. What does this sound like to you and what kind of money are we looking at?

I too may have the same issue and upon my research if they are buying the valve stems from local dealer the cost is about 40 per stem which x20 is 800 bucks plus say 350-600 head work to r&r and the labor to remove and replace...you can see where this is going...now I've personally seen replacement engines for 1600 + shipping and you figure 600-900 labor for swap (I do my own swaps and head removals) there ya go...plus a used engine comes with like a 90 day warranty. I will be repairing mine if I find that's the case (bought it this way). btw found the valves on ebay for about 125 a set (exhaust/intake) so 250 for all 20 :). that may not necessarily help you but information that I've come across on this project I'm about to take on.
