Check engine light is always on. I went to a repair shop who read the computer codes. Bad 02 sensor was read. I had the 02 sensors replaced. Drove the car 80-100 miles and check engine light came one. returned to repair shop and the same code was read.

Few problems: - Most independent shop does not have the OE Volvo diagnostic equipment, like VIDA or DICE and many other generic diagnostic computer fails to correctly identify and translate OE Volvo diagnostic codes to OBDII codes, therefor the technician won't have the correct code to work with. - Many times aftermarket electronic parts just won't work. Especially when shops are using a generic, "works on everything" parts. I'd suggest to get the OE parts. - Always ask for the diag. trouble codes. You paid for it, so they should give - better to print- the codes for you. We really need the DTCs to help you. My guess is that the shop misidentified a fuel trim code for an O2 sensor problem, but it's just a guess... I'd suggest another diagnostic from a different shop and let us know the codes so we can help you more. Zee
Hi, To better help, we need some more info. Can you provide us with the code that they pulled from the engine control, the parts used for the repair and was the shop an independent or dealership? Thanks!
I don't have the specific code. The technician said the code indicated need for 02 sensors. The 02 sensors were replaced with after market sensors, not OEM. The shop was an indenpendent shop
