The cost for 2013 c70 ignition switch was$1170 at the dealer. Is this a fair price?

My car died for a few minutes --no warning of any kind --while I was about to make a left turn. During that time, I was not able to put the window down or the key out of the ignition. After 10-15 minutes came back to life. I had it towed to the dealer for safety concerns. Six months prior to this experience, she had had her maintenance check at the dealer. Scarrry!
What makes this problem better or worse?
No clue.
How long has your 2013 Volvo C70 had this problem?
Only happened once for a few minutes.
