Hazard lights come on intermittently

Day after C70 in for maintenance on motor mount, shocks, I was driving slowly and hazard lights came on. Would not clear by pressing the triangle button. No message on dash as to why hazard lights engaged. Went off about 2 minutes later. I continued to drive and hazard lights came on again. Parked the car, and the hazard lights would not go off. Stayed on for 20+ minutes, then went off.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Effort to clear does not turn hazard lights off.
