Is this a common fault

Hi , I've just purchased a 2010 volvo convertible hard top, whilst driving the door hazard light comes on perhaps after hitting a slight bump and the door is then open and the warning display says passenger or driver door is open so the sensor is doing its job but my doors are in a semi open position is this a major problem I have a three month warranty please advise thanks Clive
