Why does my C30 battery drain for no apparent reason?

What is your question?

On several occasions when the car was sitting 36 - 72 hours the battery was totally drained. I had the battery replaced six months ago and the problem has re-occurred 3 times since. All equipment is off when the car is parked.

It needs a parasitic draw test done to isolate the problem.

a coin inside the cigarette lighter ? , if not, then I would suggest to take it to a shop.

I had same problem and dealer diagnosed it to be excessive draw from RDAR (remote digital audio receiver). Performed RDAR upgrade per Technical Journal 26188.
