check engine light stays on. have had it tested and it shows a code po410. what i need to know is where can i find information on how to replace th secondary air injection pump and how hard of a job this is. (i.e. somthing that a novice like me can handle or do I need to find a repair shop).

As a novice you can replace any part of this, however knowing what part to replace is where you need a professional, and I suggest a Volvo shop. They will know just what to check. There's a good chance the air pump, air pump check valve or the control valve may be bad.
