1995 Volvo 960 auto trans will niot shift out of 1st gear.

Hi pops! My understanding of this vehicle is that this is a limp home condition. Usually brought on by a mechanical failure inside the transmission. Several possibilities are a failed shift solenoid, low fluid level, low pump pressure or failed clutch pack. I believe there are three inside your transmission. The other possibility is a faulty vehicle speed sensor. In which case would cause a check engine light to illuminate. We have the ability to properly diagnose your issue at our shop In temecula.
