What is your question?
occurs randomly, wondering if it could be a clogged fuel filter or something else?

It is VERY common for fuel pump relays and load relays to fail. If your fuel pump relay (red relay in the relay/fuse panel under the hood, labeled 103) has a printed date on it that makes it 10 years or older, I recommend replacing it. This problem could also be caused by a faulty coolant temperature sensor. This would also turn your check engine light on and store a code for the sensor fault.
Not likely a fuel filter. Fuel filters for fuel injected cars are either plugged or not plugged. To be sure, a fuel volume and fuel pressure test would need to be performed.
the check engine light is not on, making the problem harder to diagnose as there are no codes. would the check engine light come on if the relay were bad? the car has been running for over an hour now and has not stalled out idling.
Relay failures will not trip a check engine light. Did you check the date on the fuel pump relay? You will need a Torx T25 to get to the relay.
Thanks for helping me find it. It is green not red with no date on it?
Green = Original.... old, replacing it would be the next step.
