Can not get the car in drive its stuck in parking gear. My car is automatic.

Hello, I'd bet you have an issue with the shift lock system. This system requires you have your foot on the brake pedal before you can take the shifter out of park and put it in gear. It's common for the brake pedal switch to cause this, or the shift lock solenoid. Check to see that the brake lights are working, If they are, then look at the shift lock solenoid and switch, if the brake lights are not working, check the brake light switch and circuit.
