Hello, If unplugging the MAF sensor makes the engine run better, I think you may have un-metered air entering the engine. I would start by smoke testing the engine for vacuum leaks. If you do not have a smoke machine, you will need an alternative method for producing smoke, but please do not bring an open flame to the engine bay. Let me know what you find. P.S. you can also use a squirtgun or spray bottle to spray water onto various parts of the intake system and vacuum lines until you hear the engine change sounds.
