Dealer told me to replace brake pads you have to replace rotors. correct?

There is a minimum thickness that a rotor has to be. Most, if not all, rotors can be turned or resurfaced so that it is flat again. After the rotors are turned and they meet the minimum thickness, they don't need to be replaced. If significant warping has occurred, they may need to be replaced.
