Intermittently, my 2006 VW Touareg V-8 will not start when cranked.

What is your question?

After 15-90 minutes, the car will start, and runs without an issue until shut-off. Sometimes, it will start again, but other times, it won't. Curiously, when it won't start, the starting motor continues to crank even after releasing the ignition switch until the switch is turned off.
