Ac has a weird smell when turned on that last a short time,disappears after a while

Everyday my car is started and I turn the AC on there's a weird musty sour smell that disappears the longer the ac is running.to me the ac doesn't get as cold as I think it should I'm thinking it might be the evap might needs to be cleaned but I don't know how to.when I got the vehicle it had 54,000 miles now it's over 60,000

What makes this problem better or worse?
