What is your question?
Recently had my 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan “fixed” at a dealership and the had to fix the wiring for the master cylinder because it was completely severed, change out the spark plugs and coils, and got a new battery. Now to turn the vehicle on and off I have to push the start/stop button three times. Wondering if this is just gonna be the new normal or if I should worry about it?? Will it cause issues later on? It does this every time I start or stop the vehicle.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Does it eveytime I start/stip the car
How long has your 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan had this problem?
A week

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. If your Tiguan now requires pressing the start/stop button three times to operate, it could be due to a software or electrical issue following the recent repairs. Typically, a single press should be enough, so the behavior change suggests there might still be an unresolved electrical issue, possibly related to the ignition circuit. It is worth returning to the dealership to have them take a second look.
