What is your question?
I bought a 2013 vw tiguan s tsi awd and will be shipping to West Africa. I will be going there about every 2-3 months for about a week or two. I would like to know what to ship with it and do maintenance myself like oil change, brakes... I'm really handy and will have the support of my dad who works as a car assembler and qa. How often should I change oil? Should I use synthetic oil? How should I protect the car between visits? We have a closed garage and open garage.
How long has your 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan had this problem?
Shipping the car at the end of the month

Maintenance schedules remain the same. Oil should be changed at minimum once per year, and every 5,000 miles -- whichever comes first. Oil used should be what is recommended -- full synthetic not required. I would recommend storing the vehicle in a safe, controlled environment as best as possible. You may consider disconnecting the negative battery cable to prevent battery drain. Other than that, nothing special there compared to here.
