wipers stop working and then resume 2 minutes later.
What is your question?
WIpers are working fine, then suddenly without any warning they just STOP!! It takes about a minute or two for them to resume. If I press the control to make them work when this happens they still don't work and then 2 minutes later they work. This has happened four times already and it is quite scary in the middle of a thunderstorm!!

This is definitely unusual, hands on testing is needed to see what is happening when the problem occurs. Is there power at the wiper motor when the problem happens? If so, the wiper motor could be suspect. That is my first guess, but hands on testing is needed.
Definitely sounds like a safety concern, so I would strongly recommend someone have a look to help diagnose the concern.
