Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Looks like your Passat's feeling a bit grumpy after its battery transplant. Sometimes when you replace a battery, the car's electrical system needs a little reset to get everything back to normal. It's like waking up on the wrong side of the bed and needing a coffee to reboot. Your AC and one-touch windows might just need a system reset. Try turning the ignition to the "on" position without starting the engine, and hold the window switches in the up position for a few seconds. For the AC, check the fuse box to make sure everything's seated properly. If these quick fixes don't do the trick, a trip to a mechanic who knows their Volkswagens might be in order to reinitialize the systems.
