What is your question?
When it cools, it cools very well! But sometimes it doesn't start cooling until I stop at a red light & take off again. It doesn't want to cool if I am continually moving. Sometimes if I turn the A/C off & on, it will start cooling. It also may be that this happens more often after the car has been sitting in the sun. As said, this doesn't happen all the time. The compressor is cooling! It just doesn't come on sometimes, unless I stop or turn off & on.
What makes this problem better or worse?
turn off / on; stop at a light

Hello, A common problem with VW air conditioning systems is the refrigerant re-circulation control valve, also called the compressor control valve or a list of other names. It allows more or less refrigerant into the compressor based on the needs of the system. This is not a part you will find at VW dealerships, but many third parties sell them. In most cases, service shops will simply replace the compressor instead of diagnosing the control valve. You also may have an issue unrelated to the compressor or control valve, so diagnostics is a must
