What is your question?
Car was driving fine after 140,000 miles then recently started to lag on hills and would flash epc light for an instant then would disappear before I could stop. CEL would replace it with codes 2293 and 0011. I replaced my intake cam+fuel pump rod tip and cam follower due to some serious wear. Lots of very fine shreds of metal resulted inside the top of engine. After performing repair car drove fine for 5 minutes then started to stall and show EPC light and a CEL. Took my car in to the dealer to diagnose as I was at wit's end. They claimed the timing was off and found the chain tensioner was blown so replaced that and aligned the timing. They drove the car again and it was like nothing changed. Still stalls after 5 minutes and usually only when trying to accelerate from a stop. Runs rougher the hotter it gets. They dropped the oil pan and found a lot of metal. They cleaned it out as much as possible and performed oil change. They claimed the pickup screen was getting clogged with metal and was creating a low oil pressure code to bottom of the engine. They claimed I needed a new engine. They said there is a minimal chance that several more oil changes might fix it as well as dropping the oil pan again and cleaning out the pickup screen. Anyone have any experience with this problem? 2293 and 0011 still read in the computer after cleared as well as the EPC light. Once car cools off it drives like I use to remember. Has anyone had success with a magnet on their drain plug?
