Engine Light staying STOP oil pressure what could it be

My Engine light is on saying STOP engine oil pressure I put oil in it and it seems to be running fine then the light goes back on when I am driving Hwy Speed there seems to be nothing wrong with it running I am traveling from out of town

It is telling you the oil pressure is lower than it should be. It could be a bad oil pressure sender or a bad oil pump. It needs to be checked for proper pressure before there is possible major engine damage.
