What is your question?
Monday, my 2000 passat died as i stopped at an intersection. The dash flashed "engine workshop" and my EPC light came on. Battery was fine, music and all lights salyayed on and worked fine. It turned over, but wouldnt start. Thinking it was due to lack of oil, found a TINY bit in the trunk and put it in. By the time i tried to Restart it after adding the oil, it had been about 5 minutes. It started. Tonight, going up a muddy hill, it died as i was accelerating. Plenty of oil in it this time and again, after a few minutes, it restarted. Seems sluggish while i drive now
How long has your 2000 Volkswagen Passat had this problem?
First time was Monday. Second time was this evening, Friday

Did you check the oil level before adding any? Engine performance issues are often caused by fuel delivery, ignition spark, air / fuel mixture ratios, emission controls, engine timing or compression issues. Hands on testing is needed. Guessing at anything is of no value. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
