How do I access my blend door to repair deteriorating foam?

I have an ‘07 Jetta that I am trying to access the blend door. The foam has deteriorated away causing me to have no climate control. I need to know what I need to remove in order to access this. Does the entire dash need to come out? Or is there an easier way to access it like on older models? I currently have the glove box, center console and radio/climate controls removed.
