can I switch my headlights from manual to automatic.

just bought a 07 Jetta without automatic headlights. All of my other vehicles have automatic headlights and they are older vehicles than the Jetta. I thought automatic headlights were pretty much standard any more. I see in the owners manual that automatic headlights are definitely an option but mine doesn't have it. Can I get it installed or install it myself? I don't need to get pulled over for not having my headlights on because I am not in the habit of turning them on anymore.
