i change all ac, heater and blower fuses good or bad and it worked fine now.make sure not to put too much frion it will not cool and blow ac up, if you do put too much just release some til you get a good read on pressure gauge on can.
Air conditioning systems are temperamental to work on and I suppose in the auto repair industry have the highest repair dissatisfaction rate and come backs. The system has to evacuated, the refrigerant stored or replaced after repair, the system should be flushed, properly checked for leaks and then repaired and retested, it depends what other problems are found and how diligent the person is repairing the system. Costs and estimates as you have probably found out vary widely. To replace the compressor the system needs to be evacuated and the refrigerant stored during its replacement, nothing you can do at home unfortunately.
