Is the 2006 Jetta 2.5L air cooled or water cooled

Both, if it takes anti freeze is water cooled, also if it has engine fans which all car's usually do is also air cooled newer cars fans kick on at anytime the ecu the cars computer tells the fans to come on this is why it's so very important to disconnect the car battery terminals from the battery otherwise you could have your hands down in there working and then lose em, or your life so please be careful.
