Hesitation when taking off and rattle in rear end!!!

What is your question?

I have just started noticing a hesitation when taking off. I also have been hearing a rattle sound near the rear end of the car. The rattle will come and go and it sounds like the exhaust system, but not sure. Can anyone help point me in the right direction.

What type of gas are you putting in? VWs are notorious for that hesitation with poor fuel. . Unfortunately without hearing the noise or having the car on the lift, everyone would just be taking a guess. It could be a exhaust piece loose, suspension piece worn or as simple as a trim piece being loose. Check around the trunk area and see if anything is loose. If not you may need to have it looked at

Add octane boost (you can pick it up at your local auto parts store) and see if that helps. If it does, you need to start running 93 in it

Thank you for that. I will pick some up tomorrow. Hopefully it will do the trick. Next will be the increase in octane. I really appreciate the input.
