The center read-out in the dash has gone to yellow at the top and red about 3/4 of the rest of the bottom. There are no longer any didgits in the area where it used to read out the speedo,ect. Has there been any repair put out or does anything need know who can repair it. It's pretty hard to sell a car without most everything working. HELP PLEASE!!!!
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's red all the time with pieriodicly yellow across the top 1/4

This sounds like an issue internally to the instrument cluster. Check around your local area for a repair facility that can give you some options -- perhaps it can be removed and sent for repairs? Or you could locate and replace it with another used cluster? Not sure if a new one is still available on that vintage of a vehicle. As always, testing is required to verify, but when the display turns like that, it usually is an internal issue.
What I have checked is that if you replace it with a used one, the system to s designed to not let the car start. I guess I'll have to be check around here in Albuquerque to see if someone know how to handle the situation. Thanks for your help!
