Loss of power

The battery light came on when it quit or before it quit? WHEN it quit - that would be expected, as the alternator was not turning anymore. BEFORE it quit - that could be evidence of a charging system issue. I'm thinking that it's more a loss of ignition signal somewhere along the line. I would have a monitor hooked up to test the vehicle when the problem occurs. Everything else could be a guess.
