Never had this problem before, but my jetta will not start, I turn the key and the engine will not turn over just the the rrhhhh, rhhhh, rhhhh noise. Not sure if I need a fuel pump, starter or what any ideas? I have no clue about car engines. :-)

there is no way you can identify the problem by yourself. suggest calling a local VW specialty shop and they can diagnose it for you. if you don't have a clue, you are better than most people who will try anyway and just make the problem worse.
