I have a 2003 VW Jetta VR6 my car is making a humming buzzing sound

My reverse gear makes a buzzing or low humming frequency sound. It’s only in reverse, it shifts a little hard and i can feel it in the rear back of my car it jerks a little. I have a code for gear 2 ratio being incorrect. Could this be a valve body problems or speed sensor issue or a work out clutch?
