Anti theft system

What is your question?

So my ex-boyfriend stalled my car key and my friend tried to pop.The Ignition so that I could drive the car in the meantime.I get the keyback but now the car turns over all the lights come on and it acts like it's gonna start, but it shuts right off. I'm guessing it's the anti-theft system. I was just wondering if there's a way to get around that to reset it or something. Maybe.
