Fan belt adjustment

What is your question?

On my 92 jetta the a/c,water pump and alternator belts keep losing the proper adjustment as the car is driven for a day or two.....why is that?

If "V" belts they settle down into pulley and will need readjusted. The way they are being adjusted is suspect if happens repeatedly. How are they tensioned?
