Hello, this is not a useful answer. The 1.8T engine platform is known to need timing chain replacements every 80-120k miles to prevent catastrophic engine failure. To say that it is not a maintenance item and that the useful life of the engine isn't longer than 120,000 miles does not help anyone.
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2015 Volkswagen Golf. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
