Rected passange side stearing system by hittiing a curb in "first gear" in a school zone. Passanger front side rim split 1/3 of the way through, bent control arm, & tyrod of rack amd pinion. Changed it all out. Replased strut tower mounts as well. 3 months after crashing i started her up & drove my car. The stearing was very difficult (no oil in the rack & pinion).> All gears worked with the exception of reverse. Now 5 months after the crash i had my golf gl front end 'İN' the air went through the gears just fine, INCLUDING revers. Put the golf on the ground & just to see when through the gears, & again she was fine. Turned the key over, car starts.... won't engage non of the gears. Also, the frywheel is engaged. But the transmission is fine. Thank you for any help.

Hello, What happens if you put the vehicle in gear with the engine off, press the clutch, and start the engine? Does it lurch forward?
Yes! I have a kill switch, so i don't technically have to push the clutch in but i did every time but the first. On another note, i changed the cluch cable out as well. Self adjusting. Is there any technicl thing about that besides keeping it compressed?
Pump it... A LOT. If that doesn't work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiyox3Px5GQ
Thank you very much. I have actually watched a video five or six or seven times. But just right now I realized after watching it for the 9th or 10th time that I didn't do it correctly the first time. So thank you very much I appreciate you and In This Moment I'm a new I guess I'll let you know what happens I have to put my transmission back in
