Can't reverse

What is your question?

Car drives well,,but when I shift on reverse, my prnd on my dash board blink, and I can't reverse, it acts like it's on neutral. Today my engine light went on help! I've put too much money into this car. Is,this my transmission failing?

The 1st time this happens, I needed new battery and reprogramming, and it went well for a month, I still have no clue, took it for diagnostic and comes up with with a code that can mean several things, so i did the elimination process, it possible causes, mention fuel pressure pump, so I gave it a fuel injection treatment, and one more tomorrow. End of day...still same problem. Wierd my engine light comes on and off, only turns on after my reverse fails. Good luck keep me posted

I have the same issue, what’s worse recently was driving and it shifted into Neutral. Had to pull over, shut off car and restart. Took to 2 VW dealerships and they said it was the PowerDrive train, there was a recall #09V3330000 but this model/ year was not covered. The new transmission ($7800) cost more than the value but love my car….
