What is your question?
Just rebuilt the front end after a crash. One cable was cut and repaired on the turn signals and the fuse was replaced.
How long has your 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio had this problem?

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Cabrio. The side turn signals on the front bumper of this model are functional, not just decorative. If the front turn signals are working but the side ones aren't, it's likely an issue with the wiring or connections rather than the bulbs. Since you mentioned repairing a cut cable, there could still be a break or poor connection in the wiring leading to the side signals. Double-check the repaired wires and the connections specific to the side signals. Use a test light or multimeter to ensure power reaches the bulb socket when the signals are activated. Also, inspect the socket for corrosion or damage that might prevent a good contact. If all else fails, revisit the fuse box to ensure there's no blown fuse related to the side markers.
