2014 beetle Volkswagen does it have timing belt or timing chain

Regarding the first question, you didn't mention which engine you have in your Beetle.If it is the 1.8L 4 cylinder or 2.5L 5 cylinder - you have a timing chain. If it's the Diesel 2.0L, it has a timing belt. This has nothing to do with your other questions; squeaking and swaying is something that needs to be assessed on site with the vehicle by a skilled technician with experience with diagnosing these kinds of things.
