why hasn't vw window regulator been recalled i have had to replace3 of 4 windows

Recalls are for safety related issues that the Government mandates the car manufactures to do....You need to complain to VW to see if they will help with taht type of issue. Beetles are known to have window regulator problems. Good Luck.

You should try resetting the window if you have the auto up down feature. Roll the window down and hold down for like 5 seconds +. Then, without using the auto up, roll al the way up and then let go and then hold up for 5+ seconds. It should reset and then see if that helps. It helped for my 09 beetle
